The use of induction machines is mainly due to their robustness, their specific
power and their manufacturing cost. Nevertheless, various faults may appear in this type of machine. Power spectral density, based on the Fourier transform (T.F), has been used as an analysis method for several years for its simplicity and relatively low computation time. However, this technique has several drawbacks which are mainly due to frequency resolution problems. To solve these problems, we propose to use an algorithm based on Fourier transform calculation with different weighting windows in order to improve the spectral analysis of the stator current and thus, allow a better localization of the harmonics indicating the signature of the rotor faults of the induction motor. |
