The main aim of my thesis is to know the importance of Wireless Sensor Networks in our
daily life and to get knowledge about its various applications on many fields, my thesis consist in creating a wireless sensor network in a smart home based on a new technology named ZigBee. I can dived this system into three parts using telecommunication and electronics skills, the first part focuses on the different protocols and communication networks in a smart home, the second on ZigBee technology basics, the third is a proposed system for a smart home based on wireless sensor network using Zigbee modules ( Digi XBee 3 mesh kit, sensors). For that, I proposed a system which contains standards that smart home must have it (alarm system, automatic door, lighting, gas and fire detection, temperature acquisition, etc...) and all this could be controlled by a web site or an application. The best part for this system that it allows remote control of the habitats, so it ensures safety and comfort in the house. |
