Résumé : |
The protection of freshwater resources has become a major concern for many countries
in the world, and the protection of the environment, a very important economic and political factor. Among the main sources of water pollution, organic contaminants, in particular pesticides or phytosanitary products, are introduced by agriculture to improve crop yields. These practices constitute a direct threat to the environment, living beings and in particular to human health. Therefore, techniques to remove pesticide residues have been developed to reduce the contaminated areas and matrix . In this context, a theoretical studyis carried out on pesticides photo-degradation process, in addition to a preliminary study of the degradation of a model molecule (Thiabendazole) by the same technique. The disappearance of the organic molecule is measured and the degree of mineralization of the solution is evaluated by the measurement of global parameters such as the permanganate index. This study is carried out with commercial solutions to study in particular the impact and the degree of competition between the active molecule and the other components. Through this study we found out that the degradation of the (Thiabendazole) molecule has reach the rate of 85% in just 40 minutes. It also turned out that the stirring factor has hamper the photo-degradation process. In the second part of the study we used a mixture of the two commercial solutions (Tecto (THB) & Danadim (DIM)), the mineralization degree reached 90%, and thus the presence of the DIM molecule affects positively on the decomposition rate of the THB in the mixture. |
